NAME: Sludge Buoy™ System

MATERIALS: All metal parts are made from high quality stainless steel. The plastic parts are made from a special purpose resin with good mechanical properties combined with high heat resistance. All materials used are designed to withstand a corrosive environment.

CAPACITY: The 50 mm (2") hose ensures there will be no restrictions on suction side. The capacity depends on the temperature of sludge oil and type of tank; double bottom tank or a high tank. Normal rates are between 2-6m3 / hour in real conditions.

HOSE: A highly flexible hose of five (5) meters is included with special stainless steel hose clamps, model PaRi. Max temperature for the hose continuously is 60ºC. Optimal settling temperature is 50 ºC ±5 ºC.

PENETRATION: A penetration DN50 that is matched with the hose for fitting in the side of the tank is included. We also provide a connection piece that fits the hose perfectly for vertical suction.

PUMP: No pump is typically included in the Sludge Buoy™ System. If installed in a high tank then Sludge Buoy™ can be gravity operated. We provide pumps if necessary

INSTALLATION: If no extra pump is desired the Sludge Buoy™ can be connected directly to the existing sludge oil pump via a shut-off valve. In this way the deep normal suction can be used as well as the top skimming with Sludge Buoy™. All installations are delivered with a stainless steel Cardan type fastening device.

MANUALS, DVD: Training of operators is important. We therefore always send several copies of "The Sludge Buoy™ Film" which is a DVD that shows the crew what kind of job Sludge Buoy™ is doing inside the tanks. The same goes with manuals.
